A Note from the Founder

I built Become The Need because I lived the problem first.

For years, I struggled in interviews. Not because I lacked experience… I had delivered results repeatedly. But I couldn’t reliably translate that experience into what the other side of the table was actually looking for. I would get nervous, stumble over my words, and walk out wishing I had said something differently. Rejections piled up. Self-doubt followed.

Eventually, something had to change.

For one particular opportunity, I spent two months preparing… not knowing if I’d even get the call. I studied the role, the organization, my own résumé. I ended up with ten color-coded sticky notes spread across my desk. Each one was a story mapped to a skill. I practiced answers to questions I didn’t know I’d be asked. I even recorded myself.

That was humbling. But it worked.

What I discovered wasn’t a trick or a shortcut. It was a process; one that forced me to surface what I had actually done, structure it clearly, and show how I think and operate under pressure. The interview stopped feeling like a performance and started feeling like a conversation I was finally prepared to have.

Later, I started seeing the same struggle in others. Talented people with real experience but no clear way to show it. When they asked me how to prepare, I always asked one question first:

When they prepared at that level, things changed.

That’s when a thought clicked that became the name and the mission:

You have to feed the system with what the system wants and needs. You have to become the need.
